Welcome to Chris Chambers School of Motoring!
The ability to drive is fast becoming an essential life skill. In order to become the best driver you can possibly be, and to greatly increase the chances of achieving the much desired first-time pass, it is vital for you to choose an experienced & established driver trainer.
You need a driving school you can trust: And I believe that Chris Chambers School of Motoring is the driving school for you!
So, about me? Here goes...
I am a vastly experienced and independent, 'Pass Plus' registered DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (car) proudly providing effective, informative and enjoyable driving lessons & solutions to customers of all ages and abilities residing in Sunderland and all surrounding locations: SR1, SR2, SR3, SR4, SR5, SR6, DH4, DH5, NE36, NE37 & NE38 postal code areas.
Personally, I have held a full, clean UK driving licence for over 23 years, and during my career as a driver training professional I have established a positive reputation in the area for offering high-quality driver education and training, and doing so in a pleasant, light-hearted & relaxed environment, whilst my success has happily aided me in becoming a popular choice of driver trainer within the area.
Happily, my endeavours throughout my career were recognised in 2016, when I was both proud and humbled in equal measure to be named 'Best Independent Driving Instructor - North East' in the '2016 AI Business Excellence Local' awards.
In addition to the above, I am also proud to have previously been elected as Secretary of the local driving instructors association, S.A.D.I. (Sunderland Assosiation of Driving Instructors).
Moreover, I am passionate about everything cars and motoring related, teaching & learning (I pretty much live this!), as well as being a huge supporter of Sunderland AFC.
In order to qualify as an approved DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) driving instructor, I was required to undertake a highly demanding three stage testing process which involved the testing of my knowledge, driving ability and lastly my ability to teach. Since qualification, I now undergo compulsory standards checks which are carried out by senior DVSA officials. The purpose of these audits is to allow our governing body to ensure that I have maintained the required high instructional standards, which, on confirmation of this, allows me to maintain my government approved status.
In addition to compulsory quality standards checks, I am also subject to regular enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) checks, along with being a full professional member of the MSA GB (Motor Schools Association of Great Britain) - initially established in 1935, and is the senior national association for Approved Driving Instructors (ADI's).
Furthermore, you can also feel safe in the knowledge that you are not only being taught an important life-skill by a fully qualified and dedicated driver training professional, but also that your chosen training provider is actively involved with the CPD (Continuing Professional Development) of his own knowledge and skills. Having been involved in the driver training industry since 2005, Chris Chambers School of Motoring was established in 2006, and since that time has gone from strength to strength. I have accrued a wealth of experience in successfully teaching, coaching and mentoring people of all ages and abilities in a variety of driving disciplines, as well being successful in aiding those with issues such a lack of confidence.
I am also a fully qualified Level 3 Assessor of Vocational Achievement [QCF AVA : Qualifications and Credit Framework - Assessing Vocational Achievement].
The training methods I employ vary from individual to individual depending upon their particular needs, however, irrespective of the types of training methods I employ, each lesson is carefully structured and expertly delivered, with clear targets set out to achieve. Whilst there is always going to be an inherent need to tell a individual what to do and how to do something, my main aim is to structure the lesson to encourage customer-centred learning; effectively supporting the individual to take responsibility for their own learning. This approach actively encourages and promotes a self-reliance and appreciation of the responsibilities involved in driving.
In addition to providing you with my knowledge and guidance during your practical in-car lesson time, I also provide complimentary access to online theory & HPT training in partnership with 'Theory Test Pro'. I am also happy to offer advice, guidance and support on any driving related subject between lessons and, for that matter, throughout your driving career. For parents, I am also happy to liaise directly with you regarding your son or daughters' progress throughout their training should you so wish.
When it comes to cost, my services are far from the cheapest available to you in the area, however, it is worth noting that I am not attempting to be the cheapest driving school in the area by competing on price; I compete on the strength of my customers' success. I firmly believe in the old saying, “You get what you pay for”, and it is also worth noting that in the long run, "Good tuition isn't cheap, but bad tuition costs more.."
In closing, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit the official website of Chris Chambers School of Motoring.
